About this event

THE CRUCIBLE - Date Subject To Change! 50 Players. 10 Captains. 10 Teams. One live draft. The Crucible is an ASH Esports community event built around one simple idea: bring people together, mix up the usual teams, and create something competitive, unpredictable and fun. Rather than signing up as a pre-made team, 50 players enter The Crucible individually. From that player pool, 10 selected captains will build their own five-player rosters through a live draft. THE DRAFT Before the competition begins, all 10 captains will take part in a live NFL-style draft. Captains will take turns selecting players from the available pool, with every pick shaping the teams that will compete in The Crucible. There are no pre-made rosters. Captains will need to think about roles, ranks, playstyles, personalities and team balance when deciding who they want to draft. The entire draft is designed to be part of the event itself, giving the community the chance to watch teams form live and see where every player ends up. 50 PLAYERS 10 CAPTAINS 10 TEAMS 5 PLAYERS PER TEAM WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE DRAFT? Once all 50 players have been selected, the 10 newly formed teams will enter The Crucible and compete against one another. Players who may never normally play together will suddenly find themselves on the same roster, while friends and regular teammates could end up competing against each other. Adapt quickly, work together and see how far your newly forged roster can go. BUILT FOR THE COMMUNITY The Crucible is first and foremost a community event. This is not intended to be a high-stakes prize tournament. There is no expectation that you need to be an established competitive player, part of an existing team, or chasing a cash prize to take part. The goal is to create something fun for the ASH Esports community, give players an opportunity to meet and play with new people, and create some memorable matches along the way. There will still be competition. Everyone wants to win. But the emphasis is on having fun, getting involved and enjoying the experience rather than treating every match like your professional career depends on it. Whether you are drafted first, drafted last, captaining a roster or simply watching the chaos unfold, everyone is part of The Crucible. FORGED BY THE DRAFT Enter as individuals. Get drafted as teammates. Compete as a team. Become Crucible Champions.

Rules

The Crucible is a community-focused League of Legends event designed to bring people together, create new teams and have some fun. Competition is encouraged, but good sportsmanship and an enjoyable environment come first. PLAYER REQUIREMENTS • Players must have access to a valid EUW League of Legends account. • You must register as an individual player. Pre-made teams are not permitted. • Players must provide accurate information regarding their current rank, peak rank and preferred roles. • Smurf accounts or deliberately misleading rank information are not permitted. • You must be available for the scheduled draft and tournament matches you commit to. • Players of different skill levels are welcome. The draft system is intended to create balanced and interesting teams. THE DRAFT • 50 players will make up the available player pool. • 10 captains will each draft four additional players, creating 10 teams of five. • Captains will select players live during the official Crucible Draft. • Draft order and selection rules will be announced before Draft Night. • Once a player has been drafted, they become part of that captain's roster for the duration of the event. • Players cannot refuse their drafted team because they wanted to play with another captain or player. • Captains are expected to draft competitively and fairly. Deliberately attempting to sabotage the balance or experience of the event may result in organiser intervention. CAPTAINS Captains are responsible for helping organise their team once the draft has concluded. This includes communicating match times, making sure players are available, organising their roles and ensuring their team is ready to play. Being selected as a captain does not give someone authority over other attendees outside of the tournament. Captains are expected to represent the community positively and help create an enjoyable environment for their roster. TEAM & ROLE INFORMATION Players should expect some flexibility. Your preferred role will be considered during the draft, but registering for The Crucible does not guarantee that you will play your primary role in every match. Part of the event is creating completely new teams and seeing how those teams adapt. MATCH CONDUCT • Treat teammates, opponents, captains, organisers, casters and community members with respect. • Flaming, harassment, discrimination, targeted toxicity or intentionally creating an unpleasant environment will not be tolerated. • Normal competitive banter is absolutely fine. Keep it friendly. • Intentional feeding, griefing, rage quitting or deliberately sabotaging a match may result in removal from the event. • Players should remain in the game until the match has officially concluded unless instructed otherwise by an organiser. • Competitive integrity must be maintained at all times. VOICE COMMS Teams are expected to use the designated ASH Esports Discord channels for tournament communication where required. Keep team communications respectful. Streaming or recording team communications without the knowledge of the other players should be avoided unless everyone involved is comfortable with it. AVAILABILITY Only register if you genuinely intend to participate. With exactly 50 players required to create 10 complete teams, withdrawing after being drafted can negatively affect an entire roster. We understand that real life happens. If you become unavailable, contact the organisers as soon as possible so that a replacement can be arranged. SUBSTITUTES & REPLACEMENTS If a drafted player can no longer participate, tournament organisers may assign a replacement. Where possible, replacements will be selected with competitive balance in mind. Captains cannot independently recruit additional players or replace members of their roster without organiser approval. STREAMING & BROADCASTING Matches may be streamed, cast, recorded or featured through ASH Esports channels. By participating, players should understand that their Riot ID, gameplay and in-game performance may appear on event broadcasts, graphics, clips or community posts. Players are welcome to stream their own perspective unless otherwise communicated for a specific match. MOST IMPORTANTLY The Crucible is for fun. There is no major cash prize on the line and this is not intended to be treated like a professional league. We want people trying to win, getting competitive and caring about the result, but not at the expense of everyone enjoying themselves. Meet some new people. Play with someone you would never normally queue with. Get drafted. Have some laughs. Try to win The Crucible. And most importantly, don't be a dick.
